Frequently Asked Questions
PROCESS
Every SEV piece is made to order. Once we understand your vision, we’ll provide a quote, source diamonds if necessary and collect a deposit to begin. From there, we create detailed renderings for your approval. Once approved, your piece moves into production.
Yes. You’ll receive a rendering of your piece and can request revisions until you’re completely happy. Production begins only after your final approval.
Production typically takes 20–25 business days after design approval. Timelines may vary slightly depending on complexity and current workload. Timelines may be slightly longer during high volume periods.
Redesigns are possible, but they typically involve a full remake of the piece, and pricing will reflect the scope of work required.
PAYMENT
Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required to begin all custom projects.
Once a project begins, time is invested into sourcing materials, creating designs, and allocating production. The deposit secures your project and covers these initial costs.
The remaining balance is due once your piece is complete. We’ll share photos or video before sending the final invoice.
Final payment is due within 7 days of completion notice. Projects not paid within this timeframe may be subject to storage fees or cancellation.
Quotes are based on current material costs and design details. Pricing may change if modifications are made or if there are significant market shifts before securing your project.
Diamonds are not held without a deposit. Due to market demand, availability can change quickly.
MATERIALS & QUALITY
We work with solid gold (10K, 14K, 18K) and platinum, paired with natural or lab-grown diamonds and other fine gemstones.
Diamonds 1CT and above are typically accompanied by certification (such as IGI). Smaller stones may not include certification but are still carefully selected for quality.
We work within colorless ranges (D–F) and high clarity (VS and above) unless otherwise requested.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
All SEV orders are shipped via insured courier with signature required upon delivery for security.
Yes. Please note that duties and customs fees are the responsibility of the client and are not included in our pricing.
All SEV pieces are final sale. Due to the custom nature of our work, we do not accept returns or exchanges.
WARRANTY
Yes. All SEV Fine Jewelry pieces are covered by a limited one (1) year manufacturing warranty from the original date of purchase.
This warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that were present at the time of delivery and affect the structural integrity of the piece.
Where a defect is confirmed, SEV will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the item at no cost.
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, or surface wear
- Damage caused by impact, force, or pressure (including bent settings)
- Loss or theft of the item or any stones
- Accidental damage or misuse
- Loss of pavé stones after one (1) year from the date of purchase
- Damage resulting from improper care, exposure to chemicals, or environmental factors
- Any repairs, resizing, or modifications performed by a third party
Yes. We offer an optional Lifetime Protection Plan for a one-time fee. You can purchase it here.
RING SIZE
We recommend having your finger professionally sized by a local jeweler for the most accurate result. You may also use an at-home ring sizer, but please note that accuracy can vary.
We understand sizing can be tricky. We offer one complimentary resize under our Lifetime Protection Plan.
For clients without the plan, resizing may still be available for a fee, depending on the design of the ring.
Not all rings can be resized. Certain designs, including but not limited to:
- Eternity bands
- Rings with stones set all the way around
- Certain custom or intricate designs
may have limited or no resizing capability. Resizing eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Clients are responsible for shipping costs associated with sending the ring to and from SEV, unless otherwise specified.
We strongly recommend all resizing be done through SEV. We are not responsible for any damage, alterations, or issues resulting from work completed by a third party.
